As a follow-up to the series of interactive sessions the university had with the representatives of the industry and keeping in view the needs and requirements of the industry. Prof.Dr.S Jayarama Reddy, Vice-Chancellor proposed 8 to 10 week Bridge-Courses for the potential job-seekers. During summer vacation every year commencing from the year 2007 onwards Dr.C. Varadarjulu Naidu of Department of Bio-Technology, has been named as the Convener of this High Power Committee on Bridge Courses. Stressing on the imprortance of this unique and innovative programme a Brain child of his own, S.Jayamma Reddy said that the Proposed Bridge-Course Programme is intended to correct the existing missing links in the Curriculum visa is the needs and requirements of the Industry as that the Post-Graduates who have gone out of the University as well as these who have just completed Post-graduate programmes can come back to the Campus to undergo the proposed Bridge-Courses to well equip themseleves in terms of meeting the requirements of the industry while seeking openings in the Industry. The Vice Chancellor strongly feels that this innovative programme would act as a permanent bondage between the University and the Industry, benefitting both. The Vice-Chancellor is confident that the Universities will hence forth have better functional links with the Industry resulting in enormous benefits following to the broad spectrum of society.
